Well I think the Lateral move in the same organization is not at all a bad idea, rather it provides opportunities for one to see the diffrent parts of the organization ,work with diffrent teams and explore the work culture.
I have been working in a multi national companies and have found this lateral moves giving breakthrough's which are really good otherwise we always have an option of resigning and moving further but if you really want to resign,
